November and December 2014

No major milestones in November. 

Quinn was delighted to have her grandparents and aunt come visit for the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Otherwise, early December Quinn has had her 4 yr well visit where she continues to be a picture of perfect health and development.

She's 39 inches tall and weights 37.2 lbs.

Even though her actual birthday is this coming Tyesday, Quinn also had her birthday party this weekend. It was Frizen themed, which is her all time favorite thing in the world. She had a wonderful time with friends and family. Bounce house, piñata, lots of fun.

October 2014

Quinn celebrated Halloween this yet as Elsa from her favorite movie, "Frozen". Her Grandma made her a beautiful custom Elsa dress that Quinn was delighted with. She was an absolute pro trick or treating this year.

Sept 2014

T-ball! Quinn is getting her first official team sport experience. She's a natural. Along with other 3-5 yr olds she is learning the basics of the game and has been having a great time. 

She has also attended her first preschool friend birthday party. As always, Quinn thrives in social environments and has no issues making friends and settling right in. 

August 2014

No signifucant milestones this month. Quinn did have a first summer break from preschool (2 week break btw summer and fall sessions). And her Nana has been visiting from Chicago. 

That means beach days, zoo days and lots of puzzle time.

July 2014

No milestones or major developments for Quinn this month. Just Quinn being awesome!

June 2014 milestone

Quinn officially began preschool this month. She was so excited to go to school and has already made lots of new friends and learned fun stuff. I'm fortunate to have a social, outgoing girl who is loving the school setting. 

April 2014

Two unique events in April: 

We spent a handful of days up in Monterey and San Francisco at the beginning of the month. Quinn enjoyed the Monterey Aquarium and time with friends.

Easter! Quinn really enjoyed the Easter bunny theme, egg decoration, hunt and brunch with family this year. She also planted jelly beans that the Easter bunny turned into bunny lollipops overnight. It was like a Christmas morning for her.

March 2014

Quinn spent the first week and a half of the month visiting her family and friends in Chicago. While there she got to visit the Museum of Science and Industry and play/sled in lots of snow at Nana and Papa's house.

We also went to the SD zoo again, where we have a membership. 

This month Quinn has really been mastering the use of scissors! Her favorite so far has been cutting out pictures of spiders and elephants.

February 2014

This month was pretty busy for Quinn. She had family visiting Califirnia from Illinois. While they were here we visted the San Diego zoo as well as Santa Catalina Island. Quinn found the boat ride out to the island especially exciting. We also went on a glass bottomed boat while at Catalina which she enjoyed.

We visted the Wild Animal Park in San Diego recently as well as making another trip to the SD Zoo where she fed giraffes. It was very exciting.

She also got stung by a bee for the first time! Fortunately it was a small bee and didn't seem to get her too bad. She was very brave bad didn't cry. She just wanted someone to hold her.

January 2014

Not too much going on this month in the milestone category. She now recognizes some sight words like Mama, Gavin and her own name.

Quinn also got to experience Medieval Times for the first time this month though. She was absolutely delighted. More so than Disneyland in fact! She was lucky to get a flower from out winning knight as well as A Queen of the tournament sash. It might have been one if her best days ever!

December 2013

This was a very exciting month for Quinn.  

- She became a BIG sister early in the month! She absolutely adores her brother and tells everyone she sees that she has a baby.  She is an excellent big helper. She also loved having her Nana here and her friend Deedee.

- Quinn turned 3!! She is very much enjoying herself as 3 and likes to do everything in multiples of three as a result (read three books before bed, kiss her brother three times... All because she is three). For her bday itself she baked special princess cupcakes with Nana and had a special birthday dinner. She had a wonderful day!

- Christmas was a blast. Quinn loved the idea of Santa and enjoyed baking cookies for him, visiting him for a picture, the stories we read about Christmas, getting a real Christmas tree, Christmas morning itself.
