This has been a month of verbalized curiosity. Quinn has always been engaged in taking things apart and putting them back together again. Her favorite past time is buckling the buckle in her high chair. But this month she has discovered the word why. Her first question has appeared.
"Mama, why no....why no, mama why no elmo?"
There has been why questions since then as well.
As of this last week we also have started to try out the potty. She has successfully gone peepee in the potty 3 times in the last 3 days. Every morning I let her wander about without her diaper to start making that transition. Only one accident so far. She's learning so quick. As usual!
She also continues to go to gymnastics twice a week. Recently she successfully did the kids zip line which is about 15 ft long. The instructor and myself even let go for half of the line. Quinn loved it!
In September Quinn visited the Safari Park in San Diego, the La Brea Tar pits in LA for the first time(s). She got to see lots of animals at the Safari Park and especially loved the elephants and giraffes. At the La Brea Tar pits her favorite was the great big mammoth and a little jaguar stuffed animal she carried around all day.
